Drop-and-Go Storage
Summer Students - don't want to lug your personal belongings home at the end of Summer Session II? Not to worry - you have the option to use our drop-and-go storage option to store your belongings before the end of summer session! Drop-and-go storage is a service that the University offers for your convenience. To use this service, you acknowledge that you are permitted to drop off your personal items to store, and that this is not a time for you to set up your room. Students who are not living on campus for summer are also eligible to use drop-and-go (based on availability of course).
Check the availability of your fall semester room assignment. Please note that not all residence halls are available due to summer session residency, conferences/camps, maintenance, or project work.
NO storage options are available if your residence hall is unavailable.
Drop-and-Go Storage Guidelines
- Drop-and-Go Storage is available ONLY during these times:
- Saturday, Aug. 8 - Sunday, Aug 9: 8 a.m. - NOON (ONLY for East, Pollock, and Redifer)
- Tuesday, Aug. 11 - Friday, Aug. 14: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 15: 8 a.m. - NOON
- You will NOT be able access your fall room assignment after this timeframe, during the evening, or on other days
- No appointment is required. You may utilize Drop-and-Go more than once if you need to make multiple trips on different days
- All items must be packed in a container and labeled with your full name, PSU ID, fall room assignment, and your cell phone number. No loose items, please
- If your room is available, this option is a drop-and-go storage option. You are not be permitted to unpack or set up your room. All items should be placed on the bed/dresser.
- Cart sign out is available through the East Commons Desk. You will need to return the cart to the East Commons Desk after dropping items to avoid a cart fee
- If your room assignment is changed after Aug. 1, please be aware that your new room may not be available. Contact the Housing Operations Office to verify status
- If you will be using a vehicle, please follow the vehicle unloading instructions
Same Room Assignment
If your fall room assignment is the same as your summer room assignment, you may leave your items in the room.

Condense your items to your portion of the room. Housing Operations will clean the vacant space

You must CHECK-OUT of your summer room rooms when you leave campus
Failure to do so may result in a $25 administrative fee for improper check-out-

Residence Hall Available
If your fall room assignment residence hall is marked as available, you may store your belongings in your assigned room during the designated times.
- Visit the Commons Desk in your fall semester Housing Area between
- Tuesday, Aug. 11 - Friday, Aug. 14: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 15: 8 a.m. - NOON
- Drop-and-go is not available before Tuesday, Aug. 11
- Sign out a room loaner key
- Drop your belongings in the room; put all items on the bed. Lock the door when you leave
- Return room loaner key by the time indicated. Failure to return the room key will result in a $64.00 per core charge fee, which will be added to your student LionPATH account
Residence Hall Unavailable
If your fall room assignment residence hall is marked as unavailable, that means that the residence hall is inaccessible and NO storage option is available. You will need to take your personal items home with you, or make alternative storage arrangements off campus.

Vehicle Unloading Information
You may temporarily park a vehicle (no U-hauls, trailers, RVs) in one of the surrounding student parking lots with these conditions:
- Vehicle must be parked in a designated parking spot
- Vehicles CANNOT be parked on sidewalks, grass areas, curbs, or along roads
- Vehicles CANNOT stop on any road to unload - violators are subject to receiving a ticket or being towed
- Hazard lights must be on
- Unload vehicle and drop all items on the bed. Remember, this is drop-and-go storage - items may not be unpacked!
- Unloading time is limited to 30 minutes
