2026 fall semester Fall Break will be here soon! Please make your travel arrangements based on these dates.

Fall Break Closing

University Housing will CLOSE at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22

• Late stays beyond the closing time are not permitted. Students without a Break Access/Holiday Housing HFS Contract are required to leave the residence halls. However, personal belongings may remain in your room during the break.
• If you are unable to leave by the deadline, you must make alternative arrangements until you can depart.
• You do NOT need to check-out of Housing (checking out will affect your building and room door (if applicable) access for your return on 28th)

Departure Scheduling

Schedule your departure time (link to be added by early November) in advance so that Housing Operations and Residence Life are aware of your plans.

Travel Advisory – Football Game on Saturday, Nov. 21

A home football game against Rutgers is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21. Expect significant traffic and parking impacts, especially near East Halls. To avoid delays, consider leaving on Friday evening or early Sunday. Additional traffic and parking information will be shared early November.

Fall Break Re-Opening

University Housing will REOPEN at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28

• Early Arrivals are NOT allowed - students will not have access to buildings before 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28. If you arrive early, you must make alternative accommodations until housing reopens.
