Important Dates

Fall 2027 room assignments will be posted to eLiving on Tuesday, July 20 at noon. The Room Exchange eBoard will open at the same time and be available until Monday, August 9 at noon.

University Housing will CLOSE for the Thanksgiving Holiday break on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at Noon. Students who have not accepted a Break Contract must vacate.

University housing OPENS after the Thanksgiving Holiday break on Sunday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. Residents will not have access to their building before that time.

Online room selection for the 27-28 academic year will be available beginning February 2 by class standing continuing through June 1. Students can log on to eLiving.psu.edu and select My Info > My Room to view available rooms and make their selections.

For incoming first-year students, the HFS Contract preferences modification deadline for the fall 2027-spring 2028 academic year is June 30, 2027. Login to eLiving to update your preferences. Please note that deadlines vary by campus.

Log into eLiving beginning August 1 to adjust your Signature Dining Plan dining dollar amount. The deadline for adjustments is noon on Friday, December 17.

Interested in changing rooms? Log on to eLiving starting Tuesday, August 24 at noon to create a post and view available rooms; the eBoard will be available until Noon on September 30. Find out more about the Room Exchange eBoard.

The Room Exchange eBoard for fall 2027 closes on Thursday, September 30 at noon. Students interested in changing rooms after this date should contact the HFS Office. The eBoard will be available for spring 2028 assignments beginning December 1, 2027.

Students who are unable to leave campus for the Thanksgiving Holiday break may request to stay via eLiving; choose Contracts > Summer/Break Housing Request, provide all information requested, and submit. The deadline to request Break Housing is noon on Friday, November 12, 2027.

University Housing will CLOSE for the Thanksgiving Holiday break on Saturday, November 20, 2027 at Noon. Late stays after noon on Saturday, November 20 are not permitted. Students who do not have a Break Access/Holiday Housing HFS Contract are expected to vacate; you may leave your belongings in your room. Please make your travel plans with these dates in mind: University housing CLOSES at noon on Saturday, November 20, 2027 University housing OPENS at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2027 Early arrivals prior to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 28 are not permitted - student credentials will be rejected before 11:00 a.m. Students who arrive on campus earlier will need to make alternative arrangements until University Housing opens.
